I love my postlady

Ooh ooh my bead boxes have arrived!!  I can now destroy all the old jewellery I've been hoarding and sort the beads out properly and then start creating with some degree of order.  Excellent.  I just need to convince the kids to keep quiet and feed themselves today and I'll be fine.

Slowly but surely

I'm getting there.  All my photos are now up the right way.

Unfortunately, some of them are being a bit temperamental when it comes to loading but a quick page refresh ought to help that and if not, random clicking on whichever part of the image has decided to appear is still working!

I've uploaded some of my jewellery and am hoping to have a major creative purge on both cards and jewellery in the next few weeks.  I've started to have a look around for craft fairs coming up in the next few months and am quite excited at the prospect of at least having a go!  Don't forget to let me know if you spot any for me :o)

I've got to spend some more time on this blog soon as the lovely Crafty Sandra has kindly posted me an award that I need to pay forward.  I must also get all my buddies' blogs linked in too!!

Here's hoping that this strange lurgy that everyone seems to have got at the moment gives you all a miss.  Touch wood, so far we're no worse than coughs and colds.

Back soon

xx

Busy busy

First blog lesson learnt = don't start a blog in December.  Fool.  What was I thinking?  I haven't even got time to get all the normal Christmas stuff done let alone try to create a blog.  So many apologies and please bear with me!

And why is it that having been bored witless by making Christmas cards,  I get the sudden urge to start making them again just as the last posting date approaches...?

At least it means I've made some decent ones for my 'special' cards, hope you like them...

Jewellery

I went on a reconnaissance mission on Friday night to a local 'Ladies' Night'.  I wanted to see what other people do with their stalls and to get an idea of what other people are making and their prices.  I had asked for a stall at the event but the organiser told me they already had enough cards and jewellery.

Well.  Jewellery I will accept as there were three or four stalls there but there was only one card stall and it was a teenage girl selling very,  VERY basic cards at 5 for £1.  So I was a bit peeved about that.

I'm definitely going along the right lines with the thoughts I have floating around in my head though. It's certainly helped me focus on what areas I want to develop and now I can have a look around for other events coming up in the next few months.

I've also uploaded some of my basic jewellery items on the jewellery tab. I'm allowing myself to start using the pretty beads now I've worked out what to do with the basic kit.  Hopefully a lot more complicated and fancy items to follow!

Two counts of naughtiness

OK so perhaps another good reason for having a blog is to use it as a confessional.

I have realised that I'm not going to have enough time to get all my Christmas cards done (at least to the standard I would like) so I have *gasp* bought some.  From a shop.

And in order to purge my guilt and relieve my conscience, I have just bought myself a Bind It All v2.0.  Not quite sure what I'm  going to use it for yet but I am suitably excited.

I think I've got a good deal too - I've paid £39.95 from Craft Obsessions and by popping a Distress Ink pad into the basket too, I've got free delivery.

So if anyone has any examples of what you've done with your binding machines, please let me know!

Hmmm

Just added a few samples of cards I've made in the past and some of the photos have rotated themselves as I uploaded them.  Please bear with me while I try to figure this out, consider it good neck-exercise as you swivel to look at them

Hello!

Well then here we are.  It's snowing outside, I have a pile of ironing to do but instead I thought I'd have a go at setting up a blog.

To be honest, it's not something that has interested me much in the past but as so many of my crafting buddies seem to have one, I thought I would dip in my toe and see what it's like.

I have been making cards for years but have recently got into jewellery making and this has made me think about other crafts I would like to try.

I am also seriously contemplating launching myself onto the unsuspecting public at small fairs and fetes to try and tempt people with my wares.

Just thought you might like to come along for the ride...
