That's me. Except I'm not but I'm being far too quiet in this blogland.
Fortunately, all that is keeping me from my creative inspiration is nearly over and done with so I can launch myself into this headfirst and headlong.
I have two VERY important cards to make in the next few days. My gorgeous youngest is 3 tomorrow and then my handsome boy is 6 on Tuesday. I've been making birthday cakes today! And then decided that while the oven was on I might as well make some cookies too. This paints a very inaccurate picture of me as some sort of domestic goddess. Rest assured I had a pint of Carling while waiting for it all to cook and that sort of levels it up again. They didn't burn. They look acceptable.
Off for a bit of bloghopping I think.
Be back with some new cards soon I hope.

Selfish morning
Well. Eldest two at school, youngest at playgroup and deadlines to meet so I actually crafted in the daytime today. I am by necessity a nocturnal crafter and it was so nice just to sit back and get some stuff finished off this morning. I could VERY easily get used to that!
Fortieth birthday card.
Backing paper from stash (from Christa!)
Handmade cerise paper
Turquoise ribbon
RED buttons!
I did the sentiment in Word on the PC and then cut that and the glittered mat out with my nesties
A jungle tent card.
I started making this ages ago but have just got round to finishing it off! The animals are all stamped images (maybe Woodware, I'm not sure) and the card was just folded from some double sided green cardstock.
I'm going to have to double check where the backing paper inside the card is from...it's on the tip of my tongue
Cupcake easel card.
Just a standard card folded into the easel shape. I used a template to cut out the cupcakes and layered them up with 3D foam. I then made my own spacers out of folded cardboard so that the blue cupcake is proud of the main one and the red one is then further forward again. I also cut the card away from behind the cupcakes on the fold. The gingham effect paper is from a Papermania 6x6 pad. Bung on a bit of glitter and a suitable sentiment and Bob's your Uncle (or the recipient in this case: Toni's my cousin)

Snap
I was trying to teach my 2 year old to play snap the other day. We got to 2 sheep on the pile so I said,
"Oh look - 2 sheep - what do we say....?"
"Baa"
"Yes, but when we have 2 sheep that look the same we say....?"
"Baa Baa"
I laughed.

Hormonal Tizzy
I've been very amused these last few days reading the posts on the Trimcraft forum. A couple of new members have caused a bit of a stir - Maddy Hill and Calv had signed up and the response to Calv has been hilarious to watch. I think a few of the ladies have come over all unnecessary. It's good to see the forum picking up again lately and we've had quite a few newbies sign up and join in. But I SAY, a YOUNG man who crafts....oooooooooooooooooh!
Back to the crafting table
Well I have a whole raft of cards to be working on at the moment; here are a couple I did last night.
This one is for one of the mums in my son's class. She has volunteered to cook dinner for all the other mums (14 of us) at her house on Thursday and although we have all chipped in for a present, I wanted to say thanks myself too.

I used some handmade paper which I wetted on the edges to curl it up and distress it. The sentiment is embossed onto whitewash cardstock and then just matted onto a larger nestie circle.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid (see sidebar - they're GORgeous)
And I also finished off this more masculine card that's been knocking around for a while awaiting that certain finishing touch:
Again it's handmade paper on top of some backing paper I got in a swap. Lime ribbon with buttons stuck on top and FINALLY finished off with a sentiment made using my one of my 2 (!) Martha Stewart punches.

Bloghopping
I've just been adding the links for the challenges I entered last night and I have to say there are an awful lot of very talented people out there.
I have decided to set some time aside to do a full-on blog hop to get inspiration from you clever people.
Looking at my diary, I can probably fit it in around April time.

Time Flies...
...when you're having fun and yet unfortunately also when you are so busy you don't know whether you're coming or going!
In the past week I have made the grand total of three cards and no jewellery. I'm really going to have to sort that out as I have one birthday card that needs posting to arrive on Saturday and two that need hand delivering this weekend. I've also got two for posting next week. BUT I HAVEN'T MADE THEM YET!!!! And what's that about stock for the craft fair I hear you mutter (eeek)
I have, however, been working hard on the sale pages of this blog which I am now very pleased with. Just a few more bits and bobs to upload and I'll be there.
This is one of the cards I've made but I completely forgot to take a photo of the other one so you'll just have to trust me when I tell you I honestly did make another card this week. And as for the third, well I can't upload that yet as it's for a buddy's birthday and we can't have her seeing that before Sunday...
I've entered it into the following challenges
Bearly Mine Challenges - For Men and Boys
Claudia and Company - Unique Fold
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Crazy Challenge - Happy Birthday to Us
Alys Sunday Challenge - For the Guys
Alphabet Challenge - M for Men
Tellens Place - Make it for the Guys
