A friend of mine is turning 40 next week but hasn't admitted this to anyone. Fortunately her mother is on hand to ignore the fact that her daughter doesn't want to make a fuss and has secretly arranged an 'Open House' for the entire day where people will drop in and out as they please. Apparently she is planning on telling her before we all descend just in case she decides to wear a sloppy old tracksuit that day.
Anyway, this is her card. It's a revamped version of one I did a few months ago and I think by adding the fluff and bling, it's looking a bit better...
In all of my designs and creations, I try to reflect the interests of the recipient & relish a challenging brief; dates, unusual names, special occasions, hobbies & colour schemes, the list goes on. If you've ever found yourself in need of a special something for a special someone & mass-produced shop-bought just won't do, I can help! Click on the tabs to see samples of my cards & jewellery. Please do contact me to discuss your ideas and requirements (no obligation!)

Snip snip sniiiip
I've done it! I finally used my Gypsy and Expression last night:
I'm sure you'll all agree it's very impressive (!)
What a fab piece of kit though. It's definitely going to get very well used in this house! With any luck I'll get another go before the kids are in bed tonight too as we're just back from the charity shop with 10 videos for £1. Ice Age is on at the moment, I think there are a few more lined up for this afternoon....

Getting Back on Track
Things have definitely been a bit of a whirlwind for the past couple of months.
I've been up to my ears in paperwork (still not finished - never finished), then had a wonderful trip to New York with one of my best friends (and no children) and been selling cards!! I'm chuffed to pieces with how this year has gone so far.
Since April, I've done three 'events' and at those have sold well over 50 cards and taken plenty of orders. And all the feedback is good which is even more pleasing. I have booked another fair in but really need to get making again to build up the stock!
One of the more interesting orders I've had was for a wedding card for a young couple who like caravanning.
I printed the freebie caravan image from the t'interweb onto glitter card. The couple is a digi stamp - 'Mike and Jessie' from In Style stamps and the sentiment was generated on the PC
Hope you like it!

Reinvigorated
Right. Things are on the up. My 'busy bit' is, in theory done with so I can get back to concentrating on bling and prettiness and DST.
Need to get creating a bit and then I must, I must, I must improve my blog.
Feel free to nag if I haven't updated anything this time next week!

Woooooooooooooooooooooo
Over three weeks since I've blogged? That's disgraceful. Almost as disgraceful as the total lack of creation I've done since March. Anyway, kids are now back at school and the tax and VAT malarkey is sorted soooooo, I've bought me a GYPSY and a Cricut Expression!!!!!!! Can't wait to get cutting. VERY excited young (old) lady.

Blog Candy
Sharon at Bonkers about Buttons (and my personal craft supplier LOL) is closing down her blog to get more time to CREATE. In addition to this she's about to turn 40 so this may be a mid-life crisis.
But Heavens to Betsy look at her blog candy !

Pleased as punch
I did my SECOND fair last night and was hoping to sell about 10 cards. I sold 17, took an order for 1 and handed out loads of flyers.
Hopefully some of the ladies who went last night may pop in to see what else I have available on here. I was really pleased with how things went and it was lovely to actually chat to people about special orders and how things are made.
Thank you to the Pampered Ladies of Racemeadow!
I haven't got any more fairs booked in at the moment so can reclaim my evenings and maybe actually get some ironing done!!
